The Grand Ballroom

Sphinx On K’s exquisite grand ballroom is well known as one of the largest in the Washington metro area and is perfect for large conferences and events.

At nearly 7,000 sq. ft., the ballroom offers a beautiful classic setting with Persian-style carpeting, vaulted ceilings, a stage and a breathtaking butterfly staircase that allows each guest to make a grand entrance. The 2,300 sq. ft. mezzanine is an elegant addition that makes the space an excellent choice for seminars, conventions, fairs, weddings and private events of up to 700 people.

Audiovisual equipment is available for guests who would like to utilize the one-of-a-kind acoustics of the soundproof ballroom, which provides the optimum setting for live performances.

Private Meeting Rooms

Sphinx On K offers four private meeting rooms located off the Grand Ballroom. All rooms are complete with full audio/visual capability. The intimate and upscale settings are excellent for corporate meetings, presentations, and receptions of up to 120 people. These rooms are also available, in conjunction with the ballroom, for larger corporate events and conventions.

Dining

Sphinx On K’s dining room incorporates beautiful antiquated Timurid architecture and accommodates 100 people. The adjacent lounge can hold an additional 50 people, ideal for everything from corporate luncheons to formal dinners and wedding receptions.

The spacious food staging area makes food preparation easy for catered events and the small, well-trained and experienced staff is available for the duration of your event to provide expert guidance and on-site service.

Exclusive Use

Event organizers may reserve any combination of rooms at Sphinx On K. Guests wishing to host an exclusive event may rent the entire site. During any private event, the site will be closed to public visitation to ensure an exclusory experience.
